Here are a few frequently asked questions :-

How long does the training last?
The course is designed as a one day course, with both practical & theory aspects.Special courses available tailored to your particular requirements, and refresher courses are also available.

How many delegates are allowed on the training course?
Suitable for up to eight delegates at any one time. Special allowances can be made.

Who should attend a training course?
All warehouse operatives, such as warehouse supervisors, fork lift operators, management, Health & Safety personnel.

What are the training courses based upon?
The training courses are designed around the relevant & up to date SEMA codes of practice.

Will a certificate by issued?
Yes a course certificate of competence will be provided to each successful candidate.

Regards inspections what do I get for my money?

  • A full technical & detailed report by a SARI inspector.
  • Safety observations & recommendations
  • Full shopping list to replace damaged materials deemed necessary.
  • A colour coded drawing/foot print indicating issues for attention and/or urgent attention
  • We can also provide a quotation for replacement components and installation work as required, upon request.

Are all our inspectors and trainers SARI approved?
Yes all of our engineers are SEMA Approved Racking Inspectors, and are fully qualified and recognised by SEMA.

What makes of racking systems do you inspect?

Conversant with all racking systems but specialise in Link 51 systems.

How often should my racking installations be inspected?
Externally by a third party annually or bi-annually. However this depends upon the type of operation & the storage equipment used.

What are my requirements for a racking inspection?
In addition to the Health & Safety Welfare Regulations it is the responsibility of the end user to:

  • ensure that the system is inspected by a third party on a regular basis.
  • comply with the provision and use of work equipment regulations (PUWER) 1998.
